AYE is an internship that empowers students to sell their artwork online. Thus, the AYE brand had to be as neutral as possible in order to allow students’ personal aesthetics to take priority.
Still, the brand needs an identity. That identity was found in basic, angular shapes. They give AYE a very cut-and-pasted feel while remaining quite sleek. This choice was intentional and meant to evoke the feeling of students’ work: high-quality, yet homegrown.
